THE PLACE

The Lyth Valley changes completely with the damson season. First comes the white blossom. Four months later the same orchards are heavy with dark purple fruit, surrounded by pasture, woodland and limestone. For a chef, it is impossible not to think about ripeness, acidity and what sits naturally beside the fruit - and that became the way I approached this scent.

THE SCENT

Damson forms the centre of the fragrance, bringing ripe fruit with a natural tart edge rather than simple sweetness. Pink pepper lifts and sharpens the fruit, rose rounds the middle, and patchouli adds an earthy base. Balancing fruit, spice and floral notes before finishing dry and grounded.
