THE PLACE
Cartmel always makes us think about food first. Sticky toffee pudding started here and that gave us the direction straight away. Not just sweetness, but the parts that make a dessert interesting: brown butter, warm spice, nutty, bitter-sweet, fruity and caramel notes. We wanted the scent to feel rich, but still balanced enough that you keep coming back to it.
THE SCENT
Buttery Madagascan vanilla gives the scent its rich base, while nutmeg, roasted nuts and warm spice add structure. Chestnut, walnut, coffee and sugar bring a darker, toasted edge, finishing with warm woods and soft musk rather than simple sweetness.
